The Government-funded Child Dental Benefits Scheme is now available for families with children aged 2-17. If children are eligible, they receive up to $1000 over a period of two calendar years for preventative and restorative dentistry.
Your child is deemed eligible for the CDBS by Medicare, who administers the program, if:
- they are within the applicable age range for at least some of that year
- they qualify for Medicare
- you receive either Family Tax Benefit Part A, Parenting payment or Double Orphan Pension payments for at least some of that year
Children’s Dentistry Castle Hill supports the Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS). We do not bulk bill the CDBS ,due to the fact that not all our families are eligible for the scheme, so there is a gap payment for some services. We can, however, facilitate the claim to Medicare on your behalf onsite to minimise the inconvenience.
Eligible services include:
- Fissure sealing
- Root canals
Please note that the CDBS scheme does not cover cosmetic dental work or orthodontics. To check if you are eligible or check your remaining funds, please contact us on 9634 4844 or Medicare on 132 011.
